Connect with someone you trust
Invite someone by their Apple ID email or a QR code in person. Only they can open it, and nothing is shared until they accept — then you each decide what the other can see.
Check on them, with a word
Tap a face to see where they are. Add a note if you want to — most people do. It arrives with the check, so the reason is never a mystery.
You always know who looked
No check is silent. Every one lands as a notification and stays in a history only you can clear. This is the whole point: if the trust is ever abused, you can see it.
Change your mind, instantly
Turn someone off and they lose access that moment — not at the end of a billing cycle, not after a sync. Location older than 30 days deletes itself either way.
Why it works
Being seen beats being tracked.
Most location sharing is all-or-nothing: someone can always see you, or they never can. Neither builds trust. Always-on gets forgotten and quietly becomes surveillance. Off gets read as hiding.
Check On You takes the third option. Access is there when it’s needed — and every single use of it is disclosed. A parent can check that their teenager arrived. The teenager knows they checked, at 11:40pm, and can say something about it if it’s every twenty minutes.
That’s not a compromise between privacy and safety. It’s what makes the arrangement survivable for both people.
Privacy
There is no server to trust.
Check On You has no backend. Your location lives in your own iCloud account and is shared straight to the people you chose, through Apple. We never hold it, because there is no “we” in the middle to hold it.

Every time someone checks on you, you’re told who checked and when. Always.
Your data stays yours
Everything lives in your own iCloud. No company servers, no ads, no one selling where you’ve been.
You're in control
Share your precise or approximate location, unpair instantly, and history fades after 30 days.
- No analytics, no advertising, no third-party libraries phoning home — and no cookies or trackers on this website either.
- A check shows only your most recent location, never a trail of where you’ve been.
- Contacts are never read: picking someone uses Apple’s own picker, which hands back one email address and nothing else.
- Deleting your account erases your data from iCloud.
